Everyone knows Google as the leading search engine in the world – but Google is much more than that! While we’re still committed to building the perfect search engine, our work here goes well beyond delivering accurate search results.
We develop global as well as local online initiatives in more than 46 languages. We offer advertisers, webmasters and partners online advertising programmes and continuously cooperate with these to optimise and realise their advertisement potential. We also partner with our users to organise their online activities. In addition we work with innovation and further develop our technology to gather and organise even more information and make it accessible to our users
Founded in 1998 by Stanford PhD students Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Google today is a top web property in all major global markets. The spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that made our company a success right from the start remains strong to this day. Every day we’re working on new technologies and products to help us do a better job of fulfilling our mission. That's why people who work here often compare Google to a start-up - only with resources.
As part of our commitment to hire and develop top talent, Google has created the Online Media Associate Programme. Based at our European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, the 2 year programme offers international graduates from all academic disciplines an immersion into online business, advertising and new technologies.
Online Media Associates start by learning the essence of our products and how to make them work to our clients’ best advantage. They also have opportunities to master a range of key client communication skills during their first year. And, because web technology allows companies a better understanding of consumer behaviour, Associates can develop the analytical skills to leverage these consumer insights and advise clients – small or large - on their advertising strategy.
Yet serving clients is just one aspect of our business. Our graduate programme provides opportunities to develop expertise in a variety of areas ranging from specialised product, industry or regional knowledge to advertising, marketing or business development, and from analytics to budgetary planning and/or people mentorship.
Associates not only with the skills they need to do their jobs now, but also those they’ll need as future business leaders.
In short, the Online Media Associate Programme offers graduates an all-round introduction to managing business operations with some of the most innovative products on the market.
There is no such thing as an ordinary day at the office at Google. We work on a variety of tasks and you really never know what the day may bring.
At Google, our strategy is simple: we hire great people and support them in turning their aspirations into reality. We work hard here, and play here, and dream here. That is also why the career path is very open and varied but equally brilliant. We provide our employees with the means and the flexible corporate structure they need to forge Google's future, and their own. This can be in the shape of seminars, further education, or through the strategic use of projects in the day-to-day work.
We are always looking for Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. As we are not yet there, we are always looking for smart people that can help us reach that goal, in Sweden, Europe and worldwide!
One of central values in Google is "Don't be evil". When we started to develop Google as a company, one of the engineers started writing ”Don't be evil” on the walls – something which is still core to the company today and is behind any decision being taken in Google. Some of the ways we adhere to this motto is our philanthropical work in Google.org and Google Grants, our commitment to making Google a green company through recycling, renewable and solar energy and organic food.
